The founder of Akdas Machine Weapon Industry, Huglu “Omer Akdas,” learned the intricacies of manufacturing and repairing break-action and single-barrel shotguns from the masters of his time. In 1948, he opened his own shotgun workshop. Known for his craftsmanship, Akdas became the chief craftsman to produce the first Turkish-made double-barrel shotgun. Widely respected by Turkish hunters, Akdas played a key role in raising the quality of the sector. In 1975, his son, Sadık Akdas, joined the business, expanding the workshop and repairing all kinds of domestic and foreign shotguns. Having been immersed in the world of firearms from the age of 13, Sadık Akdas learned every detail of the craft from his father. In 1988, he produced the first kinetic-system semi-automatic shotgun in Turkey. Later, in 2004, he again made history by producing the first fully cocking double-barrel and superposed shotgun in Turkey, leaving a lasting mark on Turkish hunting rifle history.
